Safeguarding

We prioritise safety and act on concerns promptly. This page provides a public summary of how safeguarding concerns are recognised, recorded, and escalated.

Scope

This applies to counselling, coaching, groups, workshops, and partnership delivery. Safeguarding is relevant for children, young people, and adults at risk, and includes risks linked to harm, exploitation, neglect, and domestic abuse.

What happens when a concern is raised

  • We listen, clarify the immediate risk, and explain the limits of confidentiality.
  • We record the concern accurately and promptly, including actions taken.
  • We consult appropriate safeguarding guidance and escalate where required.
  • We share information only where there is a clear duty or lawful basis.

Confidentiality and information sharing

We aim to be transparent about how information is used. Where there is a significant risk of harm, we may need to share relevant information with appropriate services or safeguarding partners. We share only what is necessary and record the rationale.

Quality assurance

  • Staff and associates are expected to follow safeguarding responsibilities and professional boundaries.
  • Safeguarding learning informs improvements to delivery, training, and supervision.
  • Concerns are reviewed to identify themes and reduce future risk.
